Our story

A small building, located in the center of Massagno, framed by mighty centuries-old plane trees, reapers of sweet shadows, in a small oasis a stone's throw from the center of Lugano, testimony to its long life.

 

Built in 1893 to support pilgrims along the path to the Madonna Della Salute in Venice. A long history that of the Grotto, which over the years has always been able to satisfy, adapting to the changes of the times for its "Pilgrims" of food, good wine and conviviality, today more than ever.

 

Owned by the Salinetti family and by him, Francesco, who strongly wanted to believe in the possibility of continuing this path, remaining, despite its inevitable evolution, anchored to the values ​​of the Ticino tradition, specific to this beautiful reality.
